I'm particularly glad you did this post, cos I was going to make a post like this. I've been in the web design and seo industries for quite some years and I agree with your absolutely on the concept of keyword stuffing and abuse to get high rank. For me, ranking on top of google is like abc.
Its easy to do that if you know how to. But not all the websites does the unethical seo or black seo. I have tried and confirmed that, you can rank on top of google using fair means.

Not saying that, I think I also agree with you about the amateurs in Ghana who thinks they are professionals. I once tried to undergo or at least investigate how some of this so-called professional web design companies training for their prospective developers and I was shocked with what went on. The trainer himself is a beginner and have no experience in the real world of web development, Their own website was built on a free web template and even couldn't make the necessary changes to camouflage that. It seems they even have no idea about typography.
Worst yet, they were promoting tables as means of layout in web design.

Most so called professional web designers in Ghana does not even know how to code. So its not surprising that all the graphic design firms in Ghana thinks they are web developers no even designers which they don't even qualify to be.
Its all pathetic. I wish someone will some day enlighten the victims
